Flora Holland 12 september

On September 12 we had a Dutch day out. We started very early in the morning to be in Naaldwijk in time to see the hustle and bustle at the flower auction house Flora Holland. It was more fun and interesting then I had expected. We followed the flowers from the cooling hall to the auction room where we saw them being auctioned off, and then trough huge halls, transported on rails and in carts pulled as train wagons behind little scooter-thingies on their route to the waiting trucks. It looked so enormous and chaotic!

Op 12 september hadden we een Hollands dagje uit. We begonnen de dag vroeg om op tijd in Naaldwijk te zijn om de drukte te zien van de bloemenveiling Flora Holland. Het was leuker en interessanter dan ik had verwacht. We volgden de bloemen van de koelhal naar de veilinghal waar we ze geveild zagen worden, en van daar werden ze over rails en als treintjes achter kleine schooterdingetjes door de enorme hallen getransporteerd naar de wachtende vrachtwagens. Het zag er zo enorm en chaotisch uit!
