Book Week 2016

Last week was Book Week. I didn't do a lot of book shopping, just went into Van Stockum Leiden with Bram and allowed myself to spend one of the gift cards I had saved from my birthday. (I'm saving the others up for the upcoming Taschen publication on Jan van Eyck!)
My main pick isn't Dutch and has nothing to do with this year's theme (Germany): David Mitchell's The bone clocks. I started it last night and I'm pretty hooked. It seems to be a sort of fantasy thriller based in reality. I prefer pure fantasy, but I'm enjoying it so far. Zink is this year's Book Week essay and Broer is the complementary book that was given with a purchase.
