The New Rijksmuseum

On 22 November 2013 I attended a seminar on 'The New Rijsmuseum', organized by teachers of the 'OU Erfgoedplatform'; a part of our faculty that focusses on heritage. I was asked to write about it for their blog. They edited my text and published it here. It's in Dutch.

I arrived early, the rendez-vous point was outside and it was cold. But nothing that hot chocolate and a fresh waffle couldn't cure!
When the group was complete, we entered the atelier-building, where we enjoyed lectures by Gijs van der Ham and Carel Blotcamp, some discussion, lunch and reactions to the lectures by Caroline DrieŽnhuizen and Mattie Boom, before visiting the Rijksmuseum.

Gijs van der Ham gave us a tour.

And then Ludo van Halem took over to show us the attic that houses the first half of the 20th century (also seen on the first photo in this post).
