Gran Canaria 26-6-2011

After breakfast we drove to Telde, where we wanted to visit a museum. We didn't have a detailed map and walked around town for about an hour to find the museum, that was closed and happened to be around the corner from where we parked the car...
Nice street signs and park, buildings in need of restoration. In an old neighbourhood we came across a bicyclerace.

Maarten had spotted a castle-symbol on the map in a place called Castilo de Romeral. We drove there but couldn't find anything worth while.
After a short break at the apartment we headed inland to visit the archeological park Mundo Aborigen. Round stone houses like the ones the original inhabitants of the island lived in, live animals and lifesized human figures that creeped me out me because I kept thinking they were people. The sun was burning, the views were nice.

We ended the afternoon swimming in the ocean, and had pasta for dinner again.
