In August...

We celebrated my grandmother's 84th birthday.

I studied hard for my art history exam at the end of the month. It was a hard exam, but I did better than I had expected and got a 9 out of 10 (insert big sigh of relief!).

Roeland took me to the Boekenzolder in Leiden. It's a huge attic filled with books, which you can take home for free. I found myself three museum-books and I got an atlas for crafting.

Danja and I visited zoo Dierenpark Amersfoort.

E. and I worked hard to get Lees ME ready for our graphic designer. We didn't make the deadline, and the combination of studying for my exam and working for the magazine got me pretty stressed out, but I'm happy to report that we pretty much got it done by now.

Maarten celebrated his 32nd birthday.

Roeland and I visited the Rijksmuseum. We got a quick look at the Asiatic department and the library and a good look at the rooms showing 19th century art and history.

Maarten and I spent a weekend in Limburg: we saw the (man-made) limestone caves in Maastricht and walked around on the Pietersberg, slept in Valkenburg and visited Liege by boat.

7 years of marriage. We're getting old ;-)

Martijn and I spent a day in Eindhoven, visiting the exhibition Garage Grit in MU, walking around town, chatting and drinking and eating. Good to see him!

J. and I met up for drinks at Bagels & Beans Leiden. Big smoothy, serious talk as well as lots of laughing.

Ed asked me to pose for a fantasy shoot in my neighbourhood park. Wilma joined in as my taxi driver (ever tried to ride a bike wearing a victorian dress with a huge hoop skirt?) and dressmaid ;-)
