Hi, my name is Thinkie, welcome to my blog!
I'm a student in cultural studies, a museum enthusiast, a scrapbooker and an art journaler. I love to travel within Europe and I enjoy photography. You can read more about me on my homepage.
And in Dutch I enjoy:
I live, I love, I create, I capture, I learn, I enjoy.
London 6-4-2011On April 6 we dropped the suitcases off at the receptiondesk and checked out of the hotel. Maarten and the SLR went on one last public transport trip. I, with no camera but the film slr, took the Jubilee line to Southwark and visited Tate Modern once more; there were a few spaces I hadn't gotten around to visit last time. And I wanted to check out the museum store. Oh, my, lots of art books. And a couple of art journal books! I didn't leave empty handed. I took a bus to King's Cross station and walked to the British Library. I was an old hand now and managed to get a safe for my coat and bag right away, which is quite a sport, I can tell you. I visited the Sir John Ritblat Gallery again, where treasures of the British Library are on display, that I had already seen with Frank in 2008. I had learned some things since that made some of the books displayed more interesting, like Piers Plowman, the Lindisfarne gospels and the Lansdowne MS of the Canterbury Tales. It was only a short visit though, I had to hurry and get back to St. Pancras. Maarten was waiting for me with the suitcases, that he had picked up from the hotel. I got us some fruit at M&S, waved goodbye to Foyles and Paperchase, and we took the train home.
