London 2-4-2011We started April 2 with a visit to Camden Town, from where we took a canal boat to Little Venice. It was a nice trip underneath bridges, trough tunnels and basins, along a path, along pretty houses, along other canal boats and we got to wave to some of the inhabitants of London Zoo. After arrival we walked to Paddington Station. From there we travelled back to Camden Town, where we spent some more time. London has this bike-rental-scheme, which was promoted in the newspaper by Arnold Swarzenegger who was visiting at the same time as us. You can take out a bike and drop it off at one of the other docking stations all over town. So we hopped on a bike (okay, so I needed a little time getting used to cycling on the lefthand side of the road :-) ) and cycled along the canal to Muriel Street, where the canal disappears into a tunnel. We dropped off the bicycles and walked to Kings Cross/St. Pancras, from where we travelled to Hampstead. Loved it there. After a visit to Whittard and CAS ART we went to the Hampstead Heath.
